Red Gingko offers a nine-day/ eight-night tour for those who are interested in the textile techniques of Southeast Asian hill tribes. We will visit eight remote villages in Guizhou Province, north of Vietnam, to learn about different tribal textile techniques of the Miao (aka Hmong of South East Asia) and Dong people such as the making of 'shiny cloth', folding of the 'thousand pleat skirts', wax resist indigo dying, and numerous embroidery techniques.
